About us
TEH is 180+ independent, grassroots cultural centres across more than 40 countries, from former factories and mills to breweries, markets, schools and even prisons. See who's part of the network, where they are, and what they're doing.
Governance
TEH is run by its members, for its members. Every full member holds one vote regardless of size or budget, and the network's Executive Committee, made up of members elected by the General Assembly, sets the strategic direction. Decisions get made twice a year at TEH Meetings, where the whole network comes together. Discover how governance works, who's currently on the Executive Committee, and how members shape the network's future.
Coordination Office
Behind every partnership, resource and connection across the network sits our Coordination Office, based in Lund, in southern Sweden. Alongside it, our Swedish-based International Resource Office (IRO) helps members find partners, navigate funding, and access guidance on organisational development. Meet the team steering the network's day-to-day work, and find out how to reach us.
Solidarity
Independent culture doesn't always operate in stable conditions. Conflict, crisis and inequality shape the realities many of our members work within, and TEH stands with them. Our solidarity initiatives connect members facing hardship with practical support and each other, because being part of this network means never facing a challenge alone.
