Why SHIFT + CULTURE:

SHIFT + CULTURE is a space for us to pause, reflect, and imagine new ways of working in a world that keeps shifting around us. Together, we’ll explore how the knowledge, stories, and patterns we already hold - sometimes hidden in conversations, moments, or data - can guide us toward clearer decisions, stronger collaborations, and clearer, more measurable community impact. What doors might open if we approached data not for certainty, but for connection? What shifts when we stop asking data for answers, and start asking it questions? This conference is an invitation to open our minds, ask new kinds of questions, and reshape the way we think about change, technology, and our place within it. Along the way, we’ll explore what it means to stay rooted in culture while growing toward something new - with hands-on practice using digital tools and AI that could support our work.

Sub-themes

As we all know, change can be energising, messy, exciting, or unclear - often all at once. That’s why this year’s SHIFT + CULTURE Camp Meeting is made for us - for creatives, strategists, learners, doers […] and cultural makers who care deeply about people, place, and purpose. Together, we’ll explore how we can respond to a world in transformation, using what we already know (and what we’re still learning) to shape cultural work that’s thoughtful, resilient, and alive. This is not about replacing what matters - it’s about expanding how we carry it forward.

Before the Change, There’s a Way of Seeing Let’s rethink how we see the world around us - beyond the usual terms, trends, or tech. This will be a chance to shift our mindset and explore what’s possible when creativity and curiosity leads the way.

The “Quiet Data” From everyday decisions to long-term strategy, data shows up in many forms - stories, feedback, shared moments. During the Camp Meeting we’ll explore how to notice it, understand it, and use it meaningfully.

The Inner Work of Outer Shifts Change isn’t just about strategy - it’s about people. Through conversations across generations and roles, we’ll reflect on how we face transformation together, with care, courage, and curiosity.
