7arte

By applying arts and culture as a force towards the creation of an inclusive, peaceful and a sustainable region, 7 Arte's main goal is: supporting Kosovar artists; promoting and developing a common European culture.

It was established by local artists in 2006 and since that time it has become the most active cultural center in the region. Long term programs of 7 Arte included non-formal education and environmental components within the traditional festival Mitrovica Green Fest; visioning of ex-industrial spaces via the TrepçArt program, and developing local cultural policies by engaging women and youth in decision making processes.

The main office of 7Arte is located in the city centre, in a building that was built in 1977, and represents modernism and brutalist architecture style. For almost 20 years it was used by a bank, known as Bank-Kos. For 11 years, 7Arte has been running the two last floors of this building, including a terrace for cultural activities such as: exhibitions, film screenings and poetry nights, arts education program, music performances, festivals, etc.
